How do I set up two-factor authentication?

Secure your account with two-factor authentication

Updated over a week ago

We highly recommend you activate two-factor authentication on your account. This adds an extra layer of protection to your account requiring a 6 digit code be entered every time you log in.

Set up two-factor authentication

  1. Log in to your account and click your profile picture in the top right, followed by clicking "Your Profile". Alternatively, click "Settings" on the left sidebar. Once on the profile page, click "Set up two-factor authentication". You'll be prompted to enter your account password before continuing.

  2. Grab your mobile device, ensuring it has an authenticator such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator installed. Scan the QR Code which available on the screen using the camera on your mobile device.

  3. Your device will then display a 6 digit code. Enter this into the "One Time Password" field and click "Confirm and Enable".

  4. Two-factor authentication is now activated. The system will then give you recovery codes which can be used should you loose your device. We recommend keeping these secure.

Disable Two-factor Authentication

  1. Log in to your account and navigate to the Profile section as described above.

  2. If active, you'll see the option to disable two-factor authentication in the "Two-factor Authentication" section at the bottom of the page.

  3. You'll be prompted to enter your password once you click the button. Two-factor authentication will now be disabled.

Please Note: Colonize Media will never ask you to disable two-factor authentication so we can access your account.
